JACOB THOMAS, LMSW

Jacob is a licensed counselor specializing in stress management, crisis resolution, and life transitions. He has experience working with clients on how to integrate mindfulness and coping strategies with processing mental health symptoms of anxiety and depression, as well as grief and loss. He has a wealth of experience working with adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, as well as families and caregivers throughout his professional career.   

 

Jacob has over five years of experience providing therapy for individuals and families within different levels of care, including inpatient, and outpatient settings. His approach as a therapist is to always provide a compassionate therapeutic safe space that promotes the importance of balance, structure, and accountability within the therapy process. 

 

Jacob's areas of focus include life transitions, grief and loss, motivation building, LGBTQ aspects, identity challenges, aspects related to self-esteem and self-worth. Jacob is a Gotman Level 1 certified counselor focusing on relationship dynamics with family and intimate partners. He also uses  CBT, and DBT processes for clients to utilize as coping mechanisms as well.

Theresa is certified in Prepare and Enrich, which is useful for couples who are seeking connection, cohesion, and strategies to reconnect throughout their relationship and partnership. Her clinical interests include couples therapy while promoting wellness and support.

She has experience working with women who are seeking empowerment, focus, and direction as she guides them through therapy creating a safe space for wellness and support.  Her primary focus is on individuals and couples who are wanting to seek connection, as well as, proving guidance that promotes self-esteem and wellness while establishing goals that are attainable.

Her primary focus is on families struggling with crisis, addiction, substance abuse, and chemical dependencies. Her goal is always to provide a safe, calm environment rich with resources and a path forward to grow and nurture her client’s spirit.

Michelle is a compassionate and dedicated licensed social worker with a passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. With a master’s degree in social work and 5 years of experience in providing therapy, Michelle has honed her skills to provide effective therapeutic services.

 

Her empathetic approach allows her to connect deeply with her clients, fostering a safe and nonjudgmental space for healing. She believes that each individual is unique and requires a personalized treatment plan. Working collaboratively with clients to create a safe and supportive environment where they feel heard and understood. Michelle specializes in life transition, stress management, anxiety, grief, depression, and women's Issues. She is trained and experienced in providing evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Approaches.

MELISSA KRAHMER, LCSW

Melissa brings vast experience working with adults and adolescents diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illnesses (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression) and crises. She has experience providing service to Active Duty and Retired military veterans (post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), sexual, physical, and emotional trauma, and substance-related issues).

Melissa approaches therapy as a way to help others re-discover hope, purpose, and direction. She assists clients in processing trauma by integrating Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy/Cognitive Processing Therapy & Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She also has experience working with intellectual disabilities (IDD) and related conditions (autism, etc.) in the community as well as in an acute hospitalization setting.

Kim has been in the Social Work field since 2007 and brings a wide variety of professional and personal experience to her practice. She completed internships with child protective services, a domestic violence survivor program, and a research project on working with military families. She has been a mental health technician, therapist, and assistant clinical director in psychiatric acute care and residential mental health treatment facilities.

 

She is described as empathetic and dedicated and appropriately uses her sense of humor to make clients feel as comfortable as possible. Her non-traditional upbringing taught her sensitivity to every family’s situation. You can expect that Kim will seek to learn as much as you're willing to share and to creatively tailor your experience using CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and other therapeutic approaches to best serve you.

 

Kim specifically has experience working with Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, Mood Disorders, ADHD, OCD, and later-stage eating disorder recovery; Women's issues, including pregnancy, post-partum depression,  Marital counseling; Family/parenting concerns, including adoption.  Occupation-specific work with the military, first responders, medical field providers, and teachers.
